영주시는 6월 호국보훈의 달을 앞두고 26일 충혼탑에서 국가를 위해 헌신한 순국선열과 호국영령의 넋을 기리고 추모하기 위한 위패봉안식을 거행했다.
이번 행사는 나라를 위해 헌신한 국가유공자의 공훈을 추모하고 유가족을 위로하기 위해 마련됐으며, 새롭게 봉안되는 9위의 위패를 충혼탑 위패봉안실에 봉안했다.
이날 위패봉안식에는 유가족과 국가유공자, 보훈단체장 등이 참석해 순국선열과 호국영령의 넋을 기렸다. 행사는 국민의례를 시작으로 묵념, 위패 봉안, 헌화 및 분향 순으로 엄숙하게 진행됐다.
